Challenges before Grindaholics Anonymous

During tax season, any tax preparer can easily work 55- 60 hours a week is considered low during that time. I had a team in my mind, and I felt like, “Okay, I’m paying all these people, but I’m still doing all this work.

I was disgusted with my schedule and didn’t have time to do anything, not even to think. A lot of the work was on me, answering everyone’s questions and being available all the time to everyone. Basically, it felt like I was tied down and didn’t have much of a personal life. I couldn’t take a vacation without my laptop.

I was beyond burned out to the point where burnout turned to disgust with life, aggravated, and I wanted a change.

Solution Grindaholics Anonymous

Going from 40+ hours to 8-hour weeks in 2 months has been great.

In Nov, I went to Greece for seven days and didn’t do any work. 

I can study more and stay up to date in my field. Joining Grindaholics Anonymous literally bought my time back; I can relax again.

Now that I have the time, I can talk to more people. Clients are more pleased with the services that we’re offering. They’re getting more individualized attention and faster response times. And that has equaled more people referring people, more people coming in, and more new clients. And we’re in a state of flow.

Other notable highlights. 

• The team isn’t dependent on me, and they can problem-solve.
• I’m able to work with more ideal clients. 
• We’ve been able to expand into movie production accounting
• We’re making plans to open a second division and would likely need to hire five more people
• I’m excited to rest more. I even booked a trip in the middle of tax season, intentionally!
