I joined Grindaholics Anonymous as a solopreneur. I had just quit my job; I found out I was pregnant. I only had a bookkeeping team, and nothing was getting done. I was preparing tax returns, signing off on them. I was wearing all of the hats, and I knew I needed systems and a better team. I knew a VA wouldn’t fix it all, and I wanted to be more clear about her role.
I joined because it was a no-brainer. I was confident it was a good fit; I knew what I wanted for my business vs. my reality. Inside the program, I was given the tools to bridge that gap. Grindaholics Anonymous highlighted many things I didn’t consider but helped me see my business differently.
I realized how much I was still holding onto and how much I wasn’t letting go of when it came to delegating. The org chart really revealed to me that I wasn’t utilizing support fully. I don’t have to find a FT person, but contractors can help get me there. I didn’t know what to give them.
My business is so much more legit now, more organized, and requires fewer touchpoints with me. I know how my processes look, and they’re explained ahead of time. Less scope creep. I use systems like Clickup, and I never had SOPs until now. Goals are more tangible, and my processes no longer live in just my head.
I went from working 40 hrs a week M-F, to 5 hrs a day M-Th. My revenue increased by $1100 in recurring. I raised my prices which means I need fewer clients.
